Even if dairy products are the most made agricultural product, this doesn't mean its easy to make. To make cows are milked twice a day using automatic milking machines. The milk is put in into refrigerated tanks, where it remains for a day or two. The milked is transferred tanker truck. Upon arrival at a processing plant, milk is separated into skimmed milk and cream. It is then pasteurized and homogenized. 25% of the milked is bottled, bagged etc. 80% of the milk is made in another dairy products. Then it is delivered to grocery stores. Someone then buys the milk and brings it home.
The average distance food travels in Quebec is 2400Km, and 1/3 of our trucks carry food.
Quebec's biggest import are various food mixtures.
Quebec's biggest export is meat.
